The Black Oak leather has a heavy weight, semi-aniline article with a unique pattern that is applied by spraying multiple layers of color to the hide. This random spray gives a soft shading effects and a one of a kind sauvage. To enhance the natural grain, there is an additional “tipping” or hand wiping to add depth of color. This is done by applying a glossy sheen to the tips of the leather giving a contrast in color. After finishing, a light wax is applied to give a “tacky” feel or “hand” as it is referred to.

The quality of the Burbank collection comes not only from its pleasing design, but also from the exclusive “featherBlend” seating system. The system consists of a high density polyurethane seat core topped with a channeled blend down filled wrap giving you an initial soft, then supportive seating comfort. The inside pub backs are filled with inserts (like a bed pillow) of soft and resilient fiber that adapts to your body's shape. Both the seat and back cushions are attached which helps keep the pieces looking precise. The seat suspension is constructed of strong elastic webbing (like many premium automobile seats) that is attached in an interlocking “basket weave” pattern that creates you own zone of support similar to a hammock and also helps to reduce any potential rolling of someone into your seating area.
