Alaska Halibut cheeks are a tender, medallion shaped cut of meat. It is similar in taste to other halibut cuts but resembles scallops in texture. Halibut cheeks are the actual cheeks of halibut, they are hand cut and since there are only two prized cheeks per catch they can be hard to find. It is a preferred cut by many Halibut Fishermen who typically take it for their own freezer. A simple cooking method is recommended to let this delicious morsel shine. Our Alaska Halibut cheeks are from sustainably harvested Alaska Halibut, caught by independent fisherman, and processed at our dockside facility in Juneau, AK. Ships frozen.
