This Sasaki Takumi 3-Piece Japanese Stainless Steel Cutlery Set delivers an incomparable performance. Made from ultra-premium materials the knives are optimally balanced and weighted for maximum control. The blades are precision-forged from a single 67-layered Damascus high-carbon stainless steel piece made of Japanese AUS-10 steel. They are heat-treated, making them incredibly durable, and stain and corrosion resistant. The full-tang blade runs all the way through the handle, triple-riveted for superior stability and strength. The hammered design of the blades creates small air pockets that prevent food from sticking to the blade. The forged, triple-riveted handles are constructed of durable rust and corrosion-resistant fiberglass and contoured to provide a secure and comfortable grip. The Takumi 8-inch Chef Knife is ideal for mincing herbs, finely slicing and chopping fruits and vegetables, or cutting thick meat. The Takumi 7-Inch Santoku Knife is great for slicing, dicing, and mincing, and cuts easily through meat, fish, and vegetables. The Takumi 3-1/2 Inch Paring Knife is perfect for skinning, coring, or removing seeds from produce. The blade covers are secured with a pin lock to protect the blade and for safety when not in use.
