Hand Crafted VG10 Damascus Steel:
- VG10 Damascus steel is incredibly pure, durable and resistant to stains, wear and corrosion. The VG10 core and Rockwell hardness of 60-62 ensure each knife retains its ultra-sharp edge.
- Every knife is handmade by master craftsmen using the classic “honbazuke” honing technique. Each blade is meticulously honed from its thickest point at the spine to its razor-sharp cutting edge until all 67 layers of steel are seamlessly blended together.
- Ryuu knives are perfectly balanced to improve performance, reduce fatigue, and facilitate precise control.
- Pakkawood is an extremely tough, durable, and beautifully grained hardwood that is naturally heat and moisture resistant.
- Pakkawood veneers are treated with thermosetting resins and are fused into a solid, homogeneous block of material that is solid, attractive, and has the ability to retain a long lasting glossy finish.
