These popular crab trees provide three seasons of interest with flowers, fruit and fall color.
Royal Raindrops is an eye-popping crabapple with magenta pink flowers and deep purple, cutleaf foliage. Bright red, ¼” fruit forms in fall and leaves take on a nice orange color. Sugar Tyme puts on a great show with pale pink flower buds that open into white flowers in spring. Shiny, red, ½” round fruit forms in fall. Leaves turn golden yellow in fall. Pollinators are attracted to the flowers of both trees, songbirds love the fruit and both trees are disease resistant.
