  • What is the shelf life of this product? 
    • Our DeLuxe® Fruitcakes and Texas Pecan Cakes are best enjoyed within a few days after arrival. But, if unopened, they can stay fresh at room temperature for 1 of 2 up to three months. Once opened, if properly stored in an airtight container and refrigerated between servings, they can stay fresh and moist for up to six months. For longer storage, we recommend placing them in the freezer, where they can stay fresh for up to twelve months.   
  • What is the best way to store this product? 
    • We recommend storing our DeLuxe® Fruitcakes and Texas Pecan Cakes inside their tins with the lids securely attached. For short-term storage, place them in the refrigerator. For long-term storage, place the DeLuxe® Fruitcakes and Texas Pecan Cakes in the freezer.   
  • What fruits & nuts can be found in this product? 
    • DeLuxe® Fruitcake: cherries, pineapples, golden raisins, papaya, orange peel, & pecans

  • What is the difference between a Texas Pecan Cake and a fruitcake?
    • Our Texas Pecan Cakes and DeLuxe® Fruitcakes are made with similar ingredients and in similar fashions, therefore both could be considered fruitcakes. The primary differences between these two cake categories are their flavors and toppings—our Texas Pecan Cakes have their own unique combinations of fruits and nuts, giving each cake a distinct flavor. Additionally, unlike our DeLuxe® Fruitcakes, our Texas Pecan Cakes are not decorated with our signature glaceéd, red- and green-colored fruits.
