Planting Tips & Instructions
Dig hole twice the size of root ball. Backfill around the root ball with amended soil taking care to ensure the tree is not planted too deep. The root ball should still be visible after completing the backfilling. Water deeply to settle soil. Yellow or dropping leave are signs of over watering or poor drainage. Use a nitrogen rich fertilizer in Spring, Summer and Fall to encourage healthy growth.
Prune to desired height and shape. The best time to prune an avocado tree is in late winter to early spring, after the risk of frost has passed and before the main growth flush begins.
