NOTE ABOUT FROZEN: Once seafood leaves the water, freshness and quality can only be maintained by freezing. Flash freezing halts the natural deterioration of the flesh, and locks in freshness. By purchasing frozen seafood rather than thawed, you are maintaining the quality and freshness until the moment you are ready to enjoy it. Thaw seafood in the refrigerator, and once thawed, it will keep for up to seven days.


Preparation Suggestions:

King Salmon - The largest and most prized variety of the five species of wild Alaska salmon, king salmon offers a rich flavor, buttery texture and succulent flavor. Harvested year-round in Southeast Alaska, it is perfect for the grill, broiled in the oven or seared in a hot pan.

Tanner Crab - This exquisite delicacy arrives as frozen precooked legs. Heat to desired temperature from frozen by either grilling on your BBQ, baking, or steaming in an inch or two of water for 5-10 minutes, or simply thaw in the refrigerator and enjoy this treat cold. DO NOT submerge in boiling water. Garlic butter is often a favored accompaniment.

Sablefish - It is no wonder Alaska black cod is a coveted favorite of foodies around the world, thanks to one of the highest omega-3 oil content of virtually any fish in the sea. Due to the delicate nature of the meat, if you choose to grill the black cod, the use of a plank is highly recommended.

Halibut - Iconic Alaska halibut is revered the world over as much for its size (some weighing over 300 pounds!) as for its sweet, mild flavor and distinct flake.The quintessential whitefish pairs beautifully with a wide range of flavor profiles, and tastes delicious whether grilled, poached, roasted, or bathed in robust marinades or creamy sauces.  

Weathervane Scallops (20/30) - Alaska’s scallops are an exquisite indulgence ,and have a sweet, mild flavor. All of our seafood is dry, which means none of our scallops have been treated with sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP) which causes the meat to retain water. The tender buttery meat cooks up beautifully, seared in a hot pan or grilled on skewers with a tangy fruit salsa.

Smoked King Salmon – Simply open this delightful treat and eat with cream cheese and crackers, or enjoy as a topping to your salad. Here in Alaska, some call it ‘bacon of the sea’.
