Meet Alaska Bairdi Crab, the larger, sweeter sister of Opilio crab, commonly sold as Snow Crab. Bairdi has high yielding long legs and claws filled with succulent meat. Shelling Bairdi is less lethal than King Crab, with no spiny spikes to maneuver and a slightly softer shell. The delicate, rich meat is great on its own or can be dressed up with a variety of flavors. Prep and pairing are easy, making for a deceptively simple special occasion meal.  Bairdi has a staggering high level of vitamins, with a 3 oz-serving containing 20 grams of protein, 8.8 mcg Vitamin B-12 (367% DV) and 40 mcg Vitamin D (267% DV). This product is precooked, and it can be eaten once thawed or steam to enjoy warm. Our crab is bought from independent Alaskan fisherman and processed at our dockside facility in Juneau, Alaska.

NOTE ABOUT FROZEN: Flash freezing halts the natural deterioration of the flesh and locks in freshness. Frozen seafood maintains quality and freshness until the moment you are ready to enjoy it. Rinse off excess ice and thaw crab in the refrigerator.
