Planting Tips & Instructions
Refer to included plant care guide for planting instructions. Space the oak trees at least 30 feet or more if you have the room. They can grow up to 2-4 feet per year and will need lots of room to grow and spread their branches. Nuttall Oaks prefer well draining soil that is slightly acidic but they can adapt to a variety of soil types as they are native to North America. Water thoroughly the first year of planting to establish a strong root system. Prune the trees annually when they are young to allow for a healthy branch structure. Choose a planting site with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight.
