Paperbark maple (Acer griseum) is highly valued for its fantastic bark and fall foliage. The bark exfoliates in very thin layers of coppery orange-brown which is especially showy in the winter landscape. Fine textured leaves emerge with a red tint, turn dark green then take on firey orange-red to deep red in fall. This sought after tree is well adapted to many areas of the country, is drought resistant and slower growing than most maples. This is a tree your neighbors will envy!
