PUBLISHER'S NOTE

For the love of Costco

The likelihood is, if you are reading the Connection, you are a Costco member. If so, it's fair to say you like and appreciate the way Costco does business, the great products and services offered, and the company's unwavering focus on value and quality. You might even consider yourself a Costco fan.

Of course, there are fans, and then there are fans like the members profiled in our cover story. When we put the call out asking to hear from folks, we were deluged with hundreds of responses from Costco members who had elevated their affection for the company to amazing levels. And who knew the Kirkland Signature™ sweatshirt would become a tribute to this craze?

Just as it is in Costco, one of the Connection's missions is to add value to your membership, by providing information related to products and services that can enhance your Costco experience as well as your personal life.

This issue is a good example. In addition to giving some background into what has made Sealy, a Costco supplier, such a mainstay in the mattress world, our For Your Home Special Section offers ways to rejuvenate your entryway and create new perspectives in different rooms in your home. Our back-to-school articles have some great tips on ways to complement and encourage education. For Your Health and For Your Table sections have wellness advice and a variety of ways to make the most of the bounty of foods available at Costco. And Buying Smart focuses on the myriad products and services that can help you, literally, weather life's storms.

I encourage you to wander through these pages and find something new to try, knowing that Costco stands behind all the products we sell. Sit back, unwind and take in the great things that summer and Costco have to offer.

Coming next month
  • Kirkland Signature, Costco’s private label, gets a special focus in the cover story and the Special Section.
