Safety Information
Please return to your prescribing optometrist or physician/ophthalmologist for evaluation, follow-up care, and verification of the proper fit of the contact lenses.
⚠️ WARNING: Seek Immediate Care IF YOU ARE HAVING ANY UNEXPLAINED EYE DISCOMFORT, WATERING, VISION CHANGE, OR REDNESS, REMOVE YOUR LENSES IMMEDIATELY AND CONSULT YOUR EYE CARE PRACTITIONER BEFORE WEARING YOUR LENSES AGAIN.
Please follow these safety precautions when inserting, using, and cleaning your contact lenses:
Wearing Guidelines
- Contacts should only be worn for the timeline suggested by your eye doctor.
- Only wear lenses overnight if they are specifically designed for such use.
- Dry eye and infection are among the risks of extended wear or wearing the wrong contact lenses.
- Replace contact lenses as prescribed by your eye doctor.
Handling and Insertion
- Before inserting your contacts, wash your hands with soap and water. Dry them off with a lint-free, clean towel.
- If your eyes are already irritated, do not try to insert your contacts.
Storage and Solutions
- Lenses should be stored in the recommended solutions while not being worn.
- Do not store your lenses in their holder without solution, and do not reuse old solutions.
- Storing and rinsing your contacts in water will render them useless.
- Keep a travel-size bottle of solution with you.
- If your solution has passed its expiration date, throw it out.
Don'ts for Contact Lenses
- Do Not: Use saliva or put your contact in your mouth to rewet, as this will transfer bacteria and could result in serious infections or damage to your eyes.
- Do Not: Try to re-hydrate and reuse dehydrated lenses, as the lens shape will be distorted. Throw them out.
Case Care
- Wash the case with a solution and allow the case to dry between uses.
- Replace your contact lens case every 1-3 months.
Do not wear contact lenses if you have:
- An eye infection, redness or eye discomfort.
- Excessive tearing.
- Vision changes.
- Other eye problems.
If one of these conditions occurs, remove the lens and contact your eye doctor immediately.
