There is no time of the year when we enjoy good food and good company more than during the holidays. That's why this issue features some of our regional suppliers and the great items they bring to your table.
While Costco is known for its selection of brand-name products and the company's Kirkland Signature™ label, Costco warehouses feature a number of locally sourced items that are unique to that part of the country.
Costco has buyers based in each of its eight regions who are tasked with determining the best mix of products for their respective areas. This allows them to respond to regional tastes and preferences, and offer more of what members in those communities like.
Another advantage this offers is that buyers can seek out specialty products that set Costco apart from the competition and give members one more treasure hunt experience as they discover that terrific local beer or artisan cheese or special coffee that comes from their own area.
This is also a way for Costco to support local businesses and communities, so it's a win-win all around!
