This limited-edition set features two bottles each from 1990, 2000, and 2010, encapsulating three decades of winemaking excellence from the esteemed Pauillac château. The 1990 Château Lafite Rothschild is a beautifully mature expression of a classic vintage. Crafted from a blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon and 36% Merlot, this wine hails from a warm, dry year that yielded generous fruit, balanced acidity, and supple tannins. Now over three decades old, it showcases an evolved bouquet of cedar, dried blackcurrants, graphite, and tobacco, underpinned by Lafite’s trademark finesse and restraint. The palate is harmonious and silky, with soft tannins, elegant texture, and remarkable length.

Critic Tasting Notes: “Deep ruby, purple reflections, watery rim. Fine cassis, plums, tobacco and a hint of truffle, raisins, candied oranges. A monument of the new millennium, the 2000 vintage of Château Lafite Rothschild is widely regarded as one of the most successful modern expressions of the estate. Blended from 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Merlot, the wine combines precision and power with purity and polish. Layers of blackcurrant, plum, and violet unfold alongside graphite, pencil shavings, and subtle spices. Still youthful, the 2000 boasts impeccable balance, with firm yet elegant tannins and a long, nuanced finish. It is a reference-point vintage for collectors.

Critic’s Tasting Notes: “The nose is fresh, bright, and dense. With aromas of violets, minerals, spices, cool stones, mint, dark fruits, and plum skins, this is beautiful. Very much still a baby right now, it needs much more time. This is a wine for the next generation. Finesse and elegance, truly a wine that makes you contemplate life. One of the greatest vintages of the 21st century, the 2010 Lafite is a towering achievement in structure, precision, and aging potential. A blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon and 13% Merlot, this wine is deep, concentrated, and focused, with intense aromas of cassis, crushed stones, violets, and charcoal. The palate is muscular and tightly knit, revealing layers of flavor with air and promising decades of evolution. Tannins are firm yet refined, and the wine finishes with mineral drive and incredible persistence.
