Beemster is a PDO Dutch Gouda made by a cooperative of small family farmers and cheesemakers. PDO is “Protected Designated Origin” which means that 100% of the cheese must be made in North Holland and truly reflect the traditional cheese from this province. Our happy, healthy cows are renowned for the creamiest, richest milk – that makes the most delicious cheese. Beemster Black Label Gouda (aged 20 Months) is made exclusively for Costco. The cheese has a firm texture with delightful, tasty crystallization throughout, and notes of toasted pecan and butterscotch.
