Precision Finding
- If your AirTag is nearby, your iPhone can lead you to it with Precision Finding - which shows you the distance and direction to head in, thanks to the Ultra Wideband technology built into AirTag and iPhones 11 or newer.
- AirTag doesn't physically store your location data or history on the device, and the data is encrypted every step of the way.
- No one, not even Apple, knows the location of your AirTag or the identity of any device in the Find My network that helps find it.
- AirTag is designed to discourage unwanted tracking, so if an AirTag that isn't yours is travelling with you, you'll get an alert on your iPhone and after a while, AirTag will play a sound so you'll hear it even if you don't have an Apple device.
