We Sell and Deliver Only To Legal Consumers For Personal Use:
Pursuant to state law, Costco.com cannot sell, deliver, or furnish alcohol beverages to anyone who is either under 21 years old, or visibly intoxicated. You may purchase wine only for personal consumption and not for resale. By placing your order, you certify that you are at least 21 years old and are purchasing alcohol beverages for personal use only and not for resale.
You are solely responsible for the purchase of any alcohol from Costco.com, including compliance with the law. The unlawful purchase of alcohol either for yourself or for others may subject you to criminal penalties including significant fines, suspension of your driver's license, community service and/or jail.

What You Can Buy:
Available Alcohol Beverages
The only alcohol beverages currently available through Costco.com are wine and champagne.
Quantity Restrictions
State law limits the amount that we can sell and ship to you. The following table specifies the maximum amount that you can buy at any given time. A case is equal to 9 liters or 12 bottles (750ml per bottle) of wine.

Shipping Information: Where We Deliver
State law limits our ability to sell alcohol beverages in every state. At this time, we can only ship wine and champagne to the following states: California, New Mexico, Oregon and Washington. For Washington addresses, we currently can only fulfill "in-state" orders from our Washington fulfillment facility. Please look for the "WA Delivery" selections for available wines. Wines designated for delivery in Washington will not be available to persons outside of Washington.
Proof of Age Required
Delivery carriers are required not to deliver any order containing alcohol beverages to anyone who is under 21 years of age or visibly intoxicated. At the time of delivery, the recipient may be asked to show the carrier's representative a government-issued ID with picture and proof of age, such as a driver's license, state ID, or passport. In a situation where a qualified adult is not available to take delivery of an order containing alcohol beverages, the carrier will return the order to Costco.com so that we remove the risk that alcohol beverages will inadvertently be furnished to someone who is under 21 years old or visibly intoxicated at the time of delivery.
Delivery Methods
For alcohol beverages, standard shipping is via UPS Ground with estimated delivery in 7 to 10 business days. Express shipping is via UPS Air with estimated delivery in 3 to 5 business days. For certain selections, shipping methods and carriers may vary.
Returns and Refunds:
Costco.com guarantees your satisfaction for all the products we sell, including alcohol beverages. If you are dissatisfied with your order for any reason when you receive it, you may return the order to Costco.com, or the Costco Wholesale warehouse nearest you, for a full refund. Please do not attempt to return alcohol beverages to Costco.com via the U.S. Mail. Federal law prohibits sending alcohol through the mail. Taxes:
Each state to which we ship requires that our customers pay, and we collect, applicable sales taxes on all alcohol beverages and delivery services. State alcohol or wine excise taxes also may apply.
