An extra-large, high-resolution 3 inch color LCD monitor with horizontally extended 16:9 proportions, and approximately 460,000 dots, offers beautiful capture and playback— while the PENTAX-original AR (Anti-reflection) coating assures clear, glare-free images on-screen, even in harsh sunlight. Its wide-view design offers a clear view from approximately 170 degrees, making it useful in low and high angle shooting.

Faster F 2.0 aperture with a 4X Optical Zoom
The newly designed optical 4X zoom lens offers a high-performance, large aperture of F2.0 at its widest angle to capture bright imagery no matter what the lighting condition, even in dim underwater conditions—all the while offering a complete range of shots from wide-angle to telephoto (25mm-100mm equivalent in 35mm format) for everyday and extreme photography. The camera’s Intelligent Zoom (digital) function also extends the range even further to approximately 28.8 times to cover the focal length to a 720mm super-telephoto (in 35mm format), to capture extra-high magnification images, such as wildlife, without compromising image quality.
