Kirkland Signature™ 2011 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée de Nalys
The deep purple robe leads to sweet violet and fresh fruit notes of black fruit, blackberry and cassis balanced by hints of cedar and spice. This wine was made in the classic Châteauneufdu-Pape tradition with warm fermentation in large, neutral wood tanks. A small portion of the grapes underwent carbonic maceration to soften tannins and bring some bright fruit notes to the aromatics and mouthfeel. Maturation extended beyond 14 months before bottling, which helped to add even greater depth, concentration and fully integrated flavors of red currant and wild cherry.
