Kirkland Signature™ 2012 Chardonnay - Napa Valley
The 2012 Kirkland Signature Napa Valley Chardonnay is opulent and richly flavored. The succulent notes of apricot and buttered toast are surrounded by intense bursts of apple and pear, finishing with lively mouth-watering acidity, a distinctive citrus edge, plus hints of cedar and oak. Chardonnay from Napa Valley is scarce and highly sought after.
- Varietal: Chardonnay 100%

This Kirkland Signature Napa Valley Chardonnay was produced from grapes sourced from some of the top vineyard sites throughout California’s Napa Valley. Napa is one of the premier locations in the world for producing Chardonnay. Unfortunately, vineyards producing Chardonnay in Napa Valley have diminished over the past decade in favor of producing more expensive red varieties. A key factor in Napa’s success as a wine region is the weather patterns. The water geography of the Bay Area, plus the topography of the North Coast Ranges, is behind the unique Napa Valley meso-climate: one creates fog, the other channels it inland. Without the fog that rolls in from the bays, the valley would be warmer creating less structured and balanced wines.
