Kirkland Signature™ 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon - Alexander Valley
Complex aromas of plum and raspberry are enhanced by notes of espresso. The ripe, juicy palate displays bright cherry, licorice and mocha. Such rich fruit notes are skillfully combined with firm tannins, the result of oak barrel aging for 22 months.
- Varietal: 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 3% Syrah, 2% Petit Verdot, 2% Tannat
- Region: Russian River Valley (Sonoma County, California)
- Alcohol Content: 13.6%
The Alexander Valley American Viticultural Area (AVA) is the largest and most fully planted wine region in Sonoma County, California. Bordering the Russian River, its temperatures vary
based on the varietal: The Cabernet Sauvignon vines are planted in warmer conditions, where ocean fog is not as prevalent. The weather combines with the valley’s gravelly terrain to produce hearty varietals, particularly Cabernet Sauvignon.
Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is regarded as fleshy and voluptuous, producing pours, such as the Kirkland Signature Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, with signature chocolate warmth and agreeable mouth-feel. The winemakers blended additional Russian River varietals to create an exciting, multidimensional wine for a pleasing, velvety finish.
