Are there "dos and dont's" for flushing Kirkland Signature Moist Flushable Wipes?
Just as too much toilet paper can sometimes clog a system, it's recommended that only one Kirkland Signature Moist Flushable Wipe be flushed at a time to readily pass through a system.

Also, it's important to make sure there are no tree roots growing into the sewer lines (which could pose areas for any wipes to accumulate and not properly flush through) and to make sure the septic system is well-maintained according to its manufacturer's instructions. Kirkland Signature™ Moist Flushable Wipes are not recommended for use in motor homes and caution should be exercised in septic systems containing pumps.

Can I flush other wipes like baby wipes?
Not recommended. Baby wipes and paper towels are the top reasons why pipes clog and pumps break in big wastewater treatment facilities. These types of wipes do not break down in the waste stream.

How do I know if a wipe is flushable?
If a wipe is flushable, packaging will call out "Breaks apart" and "Safe for sewers and most septics".

Household products including paper towels, tissues, baby wipes, household wipes, cotton swabs and pads, feminine hygiene products are generally not flushable because they don't break down into smaller pieces. Many manufacturers are beginning to add a special "Do not flush" logo to products, in additional to this copy in directions.
