The Excel Hybrid 2 Wheelchair by Medline is the perfect chair for everyday use. With the push of a button it quickly converts from a standard wheelchair with 24” rear wheels to a transport wheelchair with 8” rear wheels.  This lightweight wheelchair is constructed of aluminum and the footplates are made from a lightweight composite material that is virtually unbreakable. The footrests on this chair swing away to simplify exiting and entering the chair. The Hybrid 2 in standard wheelchair mode weighs only 33 pounds with the footrests detached and 47 pounds when they are attached; in transport mode the chair weighs only 22 lbs, 34 lbs with the footrests attached.

Two Chairs in One!
This chair has the unique ability to convert from a standard wheelchair to a transport chair.  A standard chair has a large rear wheel to assist the user in self propelling.  Transport chairs have smaller wheels and are often used when out in public with a friend or relative to help propel the chair.  This innovative wheelchair quickly converts from standard to transport and back again to standard by a simple push of a button.  The rear axle has a push button center that allows you to quickly and easily remove the rear wheels and stow them away when not in use.  The Hybrid 2 has the smaller 8” wheels with the wheel locks permanently installed on the chair so it is ready to go once the large back wheels are removed.  The handles also fold down so the chair is lightweight and compact for travel.  The larger rear wheels can be re-installed by simply pushing the center button on the axle and sliding the wheel back onto the chair.

Standard wheelchairs have high armrests that don't fit under tables. Fortunately, the Excel Hybrid 2 Wheelchair comes equipped with "restaurant-style" armrests that conveniently fit under most tables of standard height.

The upholstery is made of a nylon material that is breathable and keeps the user cooler. Your Medline wheelchair has a limited lifetime warranty on the frame and a one (1) year warranty on all other parts. Medline warrants that the frame will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the wheelchair.  Medline warrants that all other parts of the wheelchair will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from date of purchase by the original customer. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the wheelchair and is not transferrable to any other entity or person. This warranty does not extend to, and Medline has no liability for, damage or failure occurring as a result of misuse, abuse, modification, loss or casualty, normal wear and tear or other causes unrelated to the manufacture and design of the product.  

THIS IS THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY FOR THIS PRODUCT. THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED AND ANY SUCH WARRANTIES ARE DISCLAIMED.

In the event of defect or failure covered by the warranties above, Medline will, at its option, repair or replace the wheelchair or part thereof.  In the event of a defect or failure covered by this warranty, contact us at 1-800-MEDLINE.  Medline is not responsible to the original purchaser, any user or any third party for any consequential or incidental damages arising from use or misuse of the wheelchair or any part thereof, under any circumstances.
