Costco has created another convenient way for members to pay for their purchases, a Costco Shop Card.
Costco Shop Card features include:
- A convenient payment option in our warehouses and on Costco.com
- Costco Shop Cards can be reloaded with value at any Costco Warehouse
Neither Costco nor any of its affiliates are responsible for the use of the Costco Shop Card without your permission.
Costco Shop Card will immediately be void if Costco determined that it was at any time obtained illegally (including by fraud, theft, or other criminal act or failing to tender proper payment) or if it is altered or (if applicable) defaced.
Delivery to an incorrect but deliverable email or mailing address as provided by the purchaser is the responsibility of the purchaser.
Costco is not responsible for lost or stolen Costco Shop Card(s). If your Costco Shop Card is lost or stolen, and you have proof of purchase, Costco will issue a replacement for the current balance according to our records.
If you did not purchase the Costco Shop Card directly from Costco, the original issue value identified on the card may not reflect the actual balance, due to factors beyond the control of Costco (e.g. third party use).
Shop cards cannot be purchased using another Shop Card as payment.

For balance inquiry, visit Costco.com. This card was issued by Costco Wholesale Corporation. Use of this card constitutes acceptance of the following terms: The card may be used only for making purchases of merchandise at any Costco location in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada, or on Costco.com and Costco.ca. Digital Costco Shop Cards are not accepted at U.S. or Canada Food Court Kiosks, or at Canada Gas Stations or Car Washes. Neither Costco Wholesale Corporation nor its affiliates are responsible for use of the card without your permission. Balances cannot be applied as payments to any account or redeemed for cash, except as required by law.
Costco Shop Cards are mailed with a zero balance. To activate, call the toll-free number that will be included with your card(s). For individual card purchases, please have the ship-to phone number available at time of activation.
For orders of two or more cards, please activate all cards prior to distributing to recipients.
Note on Gift Messaging: Due to envelope size, only 180 characters, including spaces, are allowed in the body of the gift message. Please add your message during checkout.
Shop Cards are Non-Refundable
FOR DIGITAL / E-MAILED CARDS:
Recipient’s email address MUST be supplied in the email field on the Shipping Address page. To ensure delivery of the Digital Shop Card, please add Costco@digitalshopcard.
Delivery to an incorrect but deliverable email address as provided by the purchaser is the responsibility of the purchaser.
The recipient will receive the Digital Shop Card email within 2 hours of the order confirmation email being sent to the purchaser. Additional processing time may be required.
If you have issues receiving the Digital Shop Card after the timeframe suggested above, you can access the tracking details through the 'Orders & Purchases' section on your Costco account.
Digital Shop Cards can be accessed by clicking the “Access Card Now” button in the digital email. This email will come from Costco@digitalshopcard.
Digital Shop Cards can be used at any US, PR or CA Warehouse, Costco.com and Costco.ca.
Digital Shop Cards are not accepted at Food Courts at this time.

FOR MAILED CARDS:
For items ordered Friday after 6 a.m. CST and throughout the weekend, allow one business day for processing.
Please choose your shipping method at checkout.
Standard shipping is from Minnesota via First Class Mail. Tracking information is not available. The estimated delivery time will be approximately 7 - 10 business days from the time of order.
Express shipping is delivered via FedEx. The estimated delivery time will be approximately 3 - 5 business days from the time of order.
A $12 shipping and handling fee will apply to express shipments.
An additional $12 shipping and handling fee will be applied on Costco Shop Cards ordered with a varying denomination. This fee will be quoted at checkout and you must choose the shipping method for each denomination.
AK, HI and PR: Add an additional 2 business days for standard or express shipping.
If you would rather not pay express shipping fees, consider purchasing a Digital Costco Shop Card.
