The special order diamond program is designed for you to order a unique item that is currently not available at Costco Warehouses or at costco.com. Costco offers you three ways to shop for diamonds. -

Costco.com items cannot be shipped to a warehouse for inspection. How Costco's Special Order Diamond Program works: We offer rings, earrings, three-stone rings, bracelets and diamond pendants, 1.0ct and above (in a variety of cuts, clarity's and colors ranging in size from 1.0ct and above). Once you request a particular piece, we will then ship that item to a Costco Warehouse (U.S. locations only) without commitment, for you to view and/or purchase. Costco only offers diamonds VS2 clarity and above, and "I" color or better. All of our diamonds are certified in the ideal proportion range. Each diamond is set in a six-prong setting in 14kt yellow gold, 14kt white gold or platinum. We do not offer loose stones. All items offered through this program come with both a GIA certificate and IGI appraisal. If you wish, we can fax or email you copies of the GIA certificate and IGI appraisal for you to compare and consider. Based upon our inventory, a variety of similarly set stones are available for you to choose from. If we do not have something readily available, we can offer to place you on a waiting list. 2. Request that the diamond be sent to a warehouse for your inspection:
Once you decide on an item, we will ship it overnight to a Costco Warehouse (U.S. locations only) of your choice for you to view and/or purchase. You are not under any obligation to buy. 3. Purchase your diamond:
If you are happy with your selection, the item is purchased through the warehouse register, like any other jewelry item.

You may pay with cash, check, Costco Credit Card or American Express at the register. No other major credit cards are accepted. Pricing:
Our buyers work directly with several brokers to obtain the best diamonds and prices. Diamond pricing depends on various factors--cut, carat weight, color and clarity. Since diamonds are considered a commodity, diamond prices fluctuate; therefore, the time at which our buyers make a purchase affects the cost. Unfortunately, because our inventory changes so frequently, we are unable to offer a pricing list. Returns:
The Costco return policy guarantees your full satisfaction, or your money back, as long as the ring is not damaged or changed in any way (i.e. resized or reset). Terms & Conditions:
Because we focus on offering the best possible price on a diamond, we do not have an upgrade or trade in program for future purchases. Unlike most retailers we do not work on a commission basis or use Rapaport Diamond Prices (RAP sheets), and as a result Costco offers a lower price compared to other wholesalers and Internet sellers. There is no shipping or finder's fee involved-just the price quoted plus any applicable taxes. (In accordance with applicable state and local laws, we are required to charge sales tax in localities where Costco has operations. Costco does not benefit from the collection of sales tax and we remit all taxes collected directly to the appropriate taxing jurisdiction. It is the laws of the state of delivery that determine whether sales tax will be due on your transaction.) |
