At this time, all seasonal flu clinics Maxim offers to the public have been cancelled for the 2009-2010 influenza season due to lack of vaccine supply. You may be able to obtain a seasonal flu vaccine through your primary care physician.

More than 200,000 people are hospitalized from flu complications each year, including 20,000 children. The single best way to protect against the flu is to get vaccinated each year.

Every year in the United States, on average:

  • 5% - 20% of the population gets the flu
  • about 36,000 people die from the flu

How Much Does It Cost?

  • H1N1 Influenza Immunization - $10.00
  • Seasonal Influenza Immunization - $20.00
  • Pneumonia Immunization - $35.00
  • If you carry the Medicare Card Part B and do not have HMO insurance, we will bill Medicare for you. You will not have a co-pay at the time of service.
  • Payment will be collected by the Maxim Healthcare Representative.

Can My Child Be Vaccinated?

  • Children 9 years of age or older may be vaccinated with parental consent.
  • Children 8 years of age or younger will NOT be vaccinated as part of this program.
  • In Virginia, no one under the age of 18 may be vaccinated as part of this program.

Who Gives The Vaccination?
Vaccinations will be administered by Maxim Healthcare Nurses. We have partnered with Maxim Healthcare Services for the last 9 years. Maxim's Immunization programs are recognized nationally for delivering high quality health care services to the community in an organized, efficient and cost-effective manner.

Good Health Habits for Prevention

Cover Your Mouth and Nose
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing. It may prevent those around you from getting sick.

Clean Your Hands
Washing your hands often will help protect from germs.

Avoid Touching Your Ears, Nose or Mouth
Germs are often spread when a person touches something that is contaminated with germs and then touches his or her eyes, nose, or mouth.

Stay Home When You Are Sick
If possible, stay home from work, school, and errands when you are sick. You will help prevent others from catching your illness.
