Planting Tips and Instructions:
  • Poinsettias thrive in plenty of bright, indirect sunlight. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch their leaves.
  • Water the Poinsettia thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry, typically about once a week. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent root rot; never let the plant sit in standing water.
  • Poinsettias prefer average household temperatures between 65°F and 75°F (18°C to 24°C). They enjoy moderate humidity levels.
  • Fertilize sparingly using a balanced, diluted fertilizer during the growing season, particularly in spring and summer to promote healthy growth.
  • Regularly remove any dead leaves and check for pests like aphids or whiteflies. If you notice any infestations, treat them promptly with insecticidal soap or neem oil.
  • Repot your Poinsettia every 1-2 years to refresh the soil and provide more room for growth. Use a slightly larger pot with fresh, well-draining potting mix.
  • Allow the Poinsettia to dry out for a day or two before and after repotting to reduce stress on the plant.
